Project Lead – Facilities Engineering and Construction

Metro Transit is one of the country's largest transit systems, employs more than 3,000 people, and provides more than 80 million rides a year through an integrated network of buses, light rail, and commuter trains, as well as resources for those who carpool, vanpool, walk, or bike in the Twin Cities. The Metro Transit Engineering and Construction team is responsible for the development and construction of 2 mil square feet of public and support office and industrial facilities. The Engineer and Coordinator Project Lead staff oversee a capital budget program of $50-$80 million dollars annually and lead the effort to develop, design, and construct transit infrastructure and systems. We will be filling two project lead positions, within the engineer or project coordinator career position series based on successful candidate’s position qualifications. Entry Qualifications: technical training degree in engineering, architecture, engineering technology, architectural technology, construction technology, planning or related field, applicable technical professional certification(s), and at least 2-5 years of diverse facility engineering/project management work experience background.
