Job SummaryThis is a Career-Ladder position PROJECT MANAGER II (Mid-Level): Manages, coordinates and supports development activities for capital development and construction projects. Oversees, evaluates, and manages the work of UTA consultants and contractors conducting the planning, environmental studies, design and construction activities to deliver projects; and/or helps to oversee the provision of technical and business support to projects. Responsible for or assists in selecting and supervising consultants and contractors. Participates in the resolution of key policy issues and other strategic problems associated with UTA’s transit program. Develops and manages program budgets; and monitors progress and accountability. Coordinates capital project development activities with other UTA departments and interacts with government agencies, particularly FTA and UDOT. Works to assure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; and supports public involvement and collaboration with elected leaders and the community at large. PROJECT MANAGER III (Senior-Level): Manages, coordinates, and supports development activities for capital development construction projects. Oversees, evaluates, and manages work of UTA consultants and contractors conducting planning, environmental studies, design, and construction activities to deliver projects; and/or helps to oversee provision of technical and business support to projects. Responsible for or assists in selecting and supervising consultants and contractors. Participates in resolving key policy issues and other strategic problems associated with UTA’s transit program. Pay Rate: PM II starts at $88,008.96 / PM III starts at $104,349.44 - Compensation commensurate on education and experience.
