Visiting Faculty in Analytics and Operations Management Job No: 496686 Position Type: full-time Location: Lewisburg, PA Categories: Analytics & Operations The Freeman College of Management at Bucknell University seeks two full-time visiting faculty members qualified to teach undergraduate courses in operations management, business analytics, and/or quantitative modeling. Both position appointments will start in August 2021. One position is for one year (2021-2022), while the other is for up to three years (2021-2024), renewable yearly subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability. Candidates should indicate on their cover letter which position they are applying for. The Freeman College, an AACSB-accredited unit, offers innovative professional education in the context of one of the nation's leading liberal arts universities. We believe that an education that combines technical skills and deep intellectual exploration is the best preparation for thoughtful and capable leaders. Thus, we seek faculty members capable of contributing to this mission. We also embrace the teacher-scholar model. Although visiting faculty are not required to engage in research, we look with particular favor on those who are making creative intellectual contributions to both teaching and scholarship in their fields. The teaching load for visiting faculty members is six classes per year (mostly multiple sections of the same courses). A record of excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. Qualified candidates will have completed or be near completion of a Ph.D. degree or equivalent. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS AT BUCKNELL The approximately 550 students in the Freeman College of Management may choose among six majors offered by highly interdisciplinary departments that combine courses in the various disciplines of management with offerings in the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences, and engineering. The College currently offers majors in accounting, business analytics, finance, global management, managing for sustainability, management and organizations, and markets, innovation and design.
