BKV Group seeks a Senior Plumbing Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of related experience to join our Washington, DC office in Georgetown. The candidate must have plumbing engineering experience in all aspects of design and documentation for multi-family housing, commercial and government projects. ASPE CPDT certification is required, ASPE CPD preferred. Responsibilities will include the following:

Provides senior plumbing engineering and design leadership to BKV Group.

Project related responsibilities include the following:

• Development of project Basis of Design.
• Coordination of the plumbing design with the other project disciplines and the Project Manager.
• Design of domestic water, sanitary, storm and special waste handling systems.
• Execution and oversite of project plumbing designs.
• Construction Phase support including submittal review and RFI response.

Technical Leadership responsibilities include the following:

• Mentoring and developing engineering staff.
• Maintaining and developing plumbing standards in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
• Assisting the Mechanical Discipline Lead and Director with plumbing work product quality control.
• Acts as a senior plumbing engineering and design resource, provides assistance and guidance to project engineers and designers
• Confers openly and directly in a respectful and professional manner with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop design.
