Parsons is seeking a Senior Vice President, Aviation Sector Manager to join our team. This position reports to our Connected Communities Market Leader and is responsible for all delivery and execution of projects within the Aviation Sector. You will be Responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all activities of the profit center through subordinate managers who, in turn, are responsible for the overall growth and profit objectives of their respective operations within the Aviation Sector. You will work closely with our Connected Infrastructure Sector Manager to take advantage of our Smart Cities capabilities as they relate to aviation projects. This role will regularly interface with, and present to, the Market Leader, COO, and our executive leadership team. The successful candidate can be based in any North American location. Specific Responsibilities: - Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and identifies profit opportunities.
- Regularly meet with clients to maintain and develop a strong professional network.
- Partner with business development to cultivate new and existing work.
- Lead/manage the operations of the Sector.
- Establish short and long-term operating and financial objectives for sector.
- Develop, update, review and approve operating plans, programs, capital and expense budgets.
- Review and evaluate contracts, appropriations, and expenditure requests.
- Review and appraise performance of subordinate managers.
- Ensures that the organizational structure is efficiently planned and adequately and competently staffed.
Travel throughout North America and the globe will be expected. Preferred Education/Experience: - 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 20+ years of transportation or industrial systems experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel.
- Successful track record of overseeing and delivering major aviation programs.
- Name recognition and client relationships in the aviation community.
