Under the direction of the General Manager, the Associate General Manager – Customer Operations & Communications (AGM – Customer Operations & Communications) is the senior executive responsible for planning, directing, and managing the activities of Communications and Energy Services, including graphic design, printing services, media services, customer and community relations, and energy efficiency programs and education; and Customer Operations including customer services, field services, and meter reading; and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) including planning, implementation, analytics and operations. Serves as a member of the Executive Committee, advising the General Manager on utility-wide management decisions. Assists the General Manager as directed. Exhibits a high level of professionalism and integrity in all personal and business activities.
Successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:
A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Communications, Management, Engineering or related field is required. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of ten years' progressively responsible corporate management experience required. Experience with community involvement via boards or non-profit organizations is required.
Experience in developing corporate strategies and strategic communication planning is required. A working knowledge of utility industry issues along with experience interacting with local, state and federal government agencies on utility issues is preferred.
Experience with the operation and management of an electric or multi-disciplined utility is preferred.
