E Ink is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager who is comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment and is adept at taking on multiple roles to meet business needs. The Supplier Quality Manager will lead all supplier assessments, performance management and improvement programs. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing, implementing and actively managing E Ink Corporation’s supply base from audit inception to day-to-day tracking and remediation. You will be required to work closely with cross-functional partners in Planning, Supply Chain Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Development.
These roles and responsibilities include developing and strengthening critical supplier and key contract manufacturers’ programs. The candidate will participate in development, review, and improvement of E Ink’s critical suppliers and contract manufacturers’ Quality Systems and manufacturing processes related to end customer requirements.
Create, maintain, implement and manage a supplier quality system for purchased material and service suppliers
Maintain associated QMS Process documents, manage systems aspects with new tools or upgrades, train users and drive best practices
Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics
Working with suppliers to ensure all necessary quality and performance management activities are rigorously addressed
Conduct periodic audits and surveys of suppliers’ facilities and processes to determine adequacy and capability of quality control and ability to comply with complete supplier quality requirements
Record, track, analyze and maintain supplier audit records
Define and issue corrective actions and remediation with suppliers as necessary. Assist in root cause investigations to facilitate timely resolution of action plans
Distribute Supplier Score Cards based on supplier performance
Interact routinely with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers to proactively improve the quality and performance of suppliers and contract manufacturers
Manage all inquiries for supplier audits
Perform other quality and supplier audit duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience and accomplishments in quality management
Expertise in supplier management best practices, including quality systems and auditing
Strong statistical background
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and sustaining a quality management system across global supply chain(s)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills: 8D, FMEA, Fault Tree, Gauge R&R, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication & presentation skills with ability to provide unbiased reports that are detailed and highly accurate
Excellent organization and time management skills
