The Quality Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the company Quality Management System. The incumbent will drive and maintain a strategic vision for the Quality Department to focus on continuous improvement and reduction of quality issues to position Andis as the Market Leader in quality.

Leads and holds direct reports accountable for leading in a way that is consistent with the company values and desired culture.
Participates in and supports events planned to enhance company culture.
-Responsible for driving the quality function to position Andis as “the” quality brand in the market.
In collaboration with Sales and Marketing, create and maintain a process to solicit customer feedback regarding quality, including but not limited to, face to face meetings, review of social media and input from customers.? Investigate customer complaints providing recommendations for continuous improvement actions that translate into process or product improvements.???
Develop and maintain a process to track and reduce customer allowances and returns.
Direct associates engaged in production, inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.??
Utilize advanced product planning techniques, including PPAP (production part approval process), to continuously improve product quality and reliability.??
Support and enhance the New Product Development System to execute flawless product launches and maintain market leadership.???
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Product Engineering to improve product and process?performance.
Assist with the evaluation, development and procurement of test and measurement equipment to ensure appropriate validation of product.
Manage the quality system for components and imported finished goods and including the creation and tracking of performance metrics.???
ISO / Continuous Improvement
-Responsible for maintaining and improving our Quality Management System.
Position Andis to maintain ISO 9001 quality certification.???
Oversee and qualify third party quality inspection services, such as Intertek, to assure cost?efficiency and effectiveness.??
Establish and maintain a systematic process to ensure existing products meet quality standards.??
Support continuous improvement efforts company wide, including but not limited to, integration of lean manufacturing techniques, training activities related to quality and other key quality initiatives throughout operations and office areas.???
Provide on-going education, coaching, resources and data to assist value stream teams in the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to drive down cost and improve product performance.???
-Responsible for coaching, leading and setting the vision for the associates in the Quality Department.
Utilizes the Catalytic Coaching process to develop and continuously improve the performance of the Quality Department.
Provides for on-going education to assure that associates in the department are up to date on the latest trends and activities to create a best in class function.
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field and five to seven years of progressively responsible positions in a Quality, Production or Engineering Leadership position in a manufacturing environment.
Occasional work-related domestic and overseas travel is expected.
