Associated Electric is currently seeking applicants for an Engineer, Combustion Turbines position within the Power Production division. The position is located at the AECI Essex plant in Southeast MO.
The engineer will be integral to the AECI Gas Team, a multi-faceted, cross-functional group of highly motivated and performing individuals. A few primary duties include: providing engineering expertise and operational support to the Gas Team; troubleshooting, managing and implementing projects, administering contracts, creating procedures, providing project and maintenance oversight; reviewing and approving final reports to support outages, repairs and capital projects; performing inspections and condition/performance assessments of plant components; investigating equipment failures and analyzing root causes; managing major maintenance and component repairs; and providing design work.
All levels of experience will be considered. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; preference will be given to those with demonstrated combustion turbine operations and/or maintenance experience. The successful candidate will possess broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical and metallurgical engineering concepts. This person will demonstrate strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks and/or projects effectively to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, analytic skills, organizational skills, and very strong interpersonal skills are essential. This position reports to the Supervisor, Plant Operations.
