Taylor Engineering, Inc. seeks to hire a structural engineer with a background in marine, port, and waterfront structures. The right candidate will have worked in the field for 8+ years and is able to effectively manage waterfront projects. This person is detail-oriented, interested in business development, and is intrinsically motivated.
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a structural focus (Master of Science preferred)
Experience: 8-15 years in structural engineering, preferably with marine structures; dredging design and planning; regulatory permitting in the State of Florida; and construction administration
Registration: Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
Skills: Exceptional project management and oral and written English communication skills
Able to work in or relocate to Destin, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Tampa, or West Palm Beach
Additional experience in these areas is desirable:
Proven ability to motivate, initiate, and innovate
Capability and interest in marketing and business development
Construction observation experience specific to waterfront structures
Preparation design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and technical reports
Community involvement in engineering-based societies or organizations
