Advance your career as an Associate Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), an industry leading water and wastewater utility. The ideal candidate to fill an immediate vacancy in the Plant Engineering Services will have strong organizational skills, the motivation and ability to learn, project management experience, and excellent written and oral communication skills for a wide variety of audiences including government and regulatory agencies, contractors, and the general public.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and control system maintenance personnel to identify and define preventive maintenance tasks, in addition to working closely with information system support analysts to update asset management and maintenance scheduling system software. The incumbent will also work closely with EBMUD’s Infrastructure Management and Security Operations to define security system design goals, technologies, and best practice standards.
The salary range is $9,015 per month increasing to $9,466, $9,939, $10,436, and $10,958 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited civil, electrical, mechanical engineering curriculum OR a California EIT Certificate; four years of professional civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering experience (subsequent to obtaining the degree); AND California registration as a Professional Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineer.
Must have a valid California driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record; willingness to work overtime when needed; possession of the physical characteristics to perform the critical and important duties of the position including both office and field duties.
